Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss (born August 21, 1967[1(born on August 21, 1967[1]) is a Canadian actor from Canada. In her early television roles her name was brought to fame internationally for her portrayal in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). She has been featured in Memento (2000) in which she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006) for which she received the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Disturbia (2007), Unthinkable (2010), Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) as well as Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV series. She also was Jeri Hogarth. Moss was living in Spain when she was offered the part of Tara, Judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk, in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first TV appearance. In 1992, she relocated with the series from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss had to leave Dark Justice before the series was in its third season and the final one and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn, who played Samantha "Sam" Collins. After her return, she enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. In Pasadena, she was a model, and later starred in Fox's soap opera of the same name Models Inc. The series was canceled on July 15, 1995. She was the star of a short-lived, made-in Canada show titled Matrix. She was a frequent guest actor in television series such as Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. Three years later, she received the Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest Actress in Drama. She was a part of a variety of B-movie roles in the decade prior, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
