Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. Her work has been featured on more than 20 studio albums. The songs of DiFranco are classified as folk and alternative rock. However, they also incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz, and punk. Ani Difranco has been widely acknowledged as a pioneer of feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first artists to create her own independent record label. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
